Holiday Recycling Collection Schedule

When Is Your Recycling Going to be Picked Up?

Holiday Recycling Collection Schedule for the 2020 Holiday Season is as follows:

  • Friday, December 25th collection will be on Saturday, December 26th.
  • Friday, January 1st, 2021 collection will be on Saturday, January 2nd, 2021.
  • No other dates are affected.
This will affect the following areas who have FRIDAY collection:
  • Ameliasburgh Ward, PEC
  • Belleville – East of Moira River
  • Frankford – City of Quinte West
  • Village of Tweed
Please remember to have your recycling at the curb by 7 am for collection.

In addition, please note that wrapping paper is recyclable, while wrapping foil is not. Paper gift bags are, but if they are made out of shiny plastic material they are not recyclable. Ribbons and strings are garbage. We encourage residents to reuse ribbons and strings year after year! Check out our blog post on more tips for having a ‘Green Christmas’. As well, here are some helpful Holiday Recycling tips!

Our Material Recovery Facility Recycling Depot will be open regular business hours every day except December 25 and January 1. Take advantage of this free self – service and drop your recycling off instead of waiting for collection.
