The administration office for Quinte Waste Solutions is attached to the recycling facility at 270 West St. in Trenton, and has been painted copper since, well since a long time. It was due for a makeover. But we’ll get back to that.
Any time you drop off your unused and unwanted cans of paint to our hazardous and electronic waste depot in Belleville, or during any one of our mobile events throughout our service area, you are properly disposing of it. Paint is hazardous to our environment. Keeping it out of landfill, groundwater and surface water, is the right thing to do. The paint we collect from you is sent to a company called Photech in southern Ontario to be recycled into brand new paint! This new paint is called Loop, and can be purchased at WalMart stores across Ontario.
Loop heard about our makeover woes, and graciously donated enough paint, to give our little office a much needed facelift. We’d like to thank Loop for helping us out, and for donating hundreds of cans of paint to be handed out as gifts during events we’ve had over the past couple of years.
