Quinte Waste Solutions is thrilled to welcome Bill Sandison to our team of innovative leaders. Bill will be taking on the role of General Manager and will oversee both small and big-picture operations going forward.
Bill is a graduate of Queen’s University. During his studies, Bill attained a Master of Business Administration. With this, he is joining us from his former role as City Councilor with the City of Belleville, where Bill sat as the Vice-Chair on the Centre and South Hastings Waste Services Board.
“Ontario communities are at an important juncture in the recycling domain as we transition to the provincially-driven Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) which shifts the responsibility for recycling and waste reduction closer to the source. We have a great team at Quinte Waste Solutions and I look forward to working with them to continue to deliver excellent value and service to all our stakeholders,” said Sandison.
Bill has an extensive background in community leadership with an emphasis on driving positive change. Bill will also bring a wealth of practical knowledge while working towards our overarching goal of improving waste diversion for our nine member municipalities.
